Welcome Patriots!

Welcome to the Counseling Corner! Our goal is to assist students in the areas of academics, social emotional and college/career guidance.  We are dedicated in fostering students success in middle school while preparing them for high school and beyond.

We assist students with:

  • Academic success
  • Goal setting
  • Time management skills
  • Appropriate school behavior
  • Social/emotional 
 

We assist parents with:

  1. Communicating with teachers
  2. Understanding grades
  3. Helping with academic success
  4. Providing community resources

While we do have an open door policy, appointments are recommended to ensure we can provide you with the appropriate time needed.

PHMS Support

Counselors

Your grade level counselor is available for academic and social emotional counseling and guidance. Please visit the Counseling Office to see your counselor.

Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling is a special program focusing on peers helping peers. The duty of a peer counselor is to mediate problems between students by helping them to find their answers. Prior to becoming advanced peer counselors, the students go through training, in which they develop skills and techniques for problem-solving and peer mediating.

Child and Family Guidance

Patrick Henry has onsite Child and Family Counselors to assist with student health and well-being.

Restorative Justice

Patrick Henry has adopted Restorative Justice to provide mediation avenues to improve relationships on campus.

After School Academic Support with PHMS Teachers

Tuesdays in the Library 1:40 - 2:40 pm
